Please welcome today’s guest poster, the lovely Robyn from MrsDPlus3. Robyn and her family have just celebrated three years of living here in Sydney. They have found lots of great spots to visit, and here is one of them: The Basin up on Pittwater, a wonderful spot for family camping or just for a gorgeous day trip.
I’m delighted to be part of the PARKROYAL Your Local Connections campaign.
Check out the Facebook page, where local bloggers from Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Saigon describe their city’s top spots for visitors.
I loved putting together my top ten ideas for families visiting Sydney. So much to choose from!
An old pal of mine here in Sydney has a daughter who was very unwell throughout her primary school years. A bright and lively little girl, it was hard to imagine that she was in danger of suffering a life-threatening bleed at any time.
The family had to be close to a major hospital at all times. So they simply didn’t go away on holiday for many years.
But my friend is not as daft as she looks, and she knew that she and the kids needed breaks. So every so often they’d decamp from the suburbs and spend a weekend at Darling Harbour, eating out, seeing the sights and just having a change of scene.
A fabulous idea, and I was often envious of these Sydney city mini-breaks. Especially at Darling Harbour as there’s so much to see and do there.
I’m thrilled to start up a whole new blog category. There are so many great places to stay in Sydney and I’m just the person to write about them.
First up is a lovely boutique hotel on gorgeous Cremorne Point. When owner Jean-Claude Branch asked if I’d like to come and stay to check the place out, it took me about a nanosecond to hit reply.
I adore Cremorne Point and I’ve had some really great times there, both when I was young, free and single and with the family. It’s a terrific base from which to explore our harbour city.
