Love this playground! For its views, its space and its very happy family memories for us.
Collaroy Beach playground was one of the first playgrounds we visited after returning to Sydney with wild toddler in tow.
We couldn’t believe how fabulous the Sydney playgrounds were! So much better than Edinburgh’s and we hadn’t even seen any during our year in Pakistan.

A very large and modern playground, one of the best in Sydney. There are several play structures and a bike track that loops around raised mounds. Near the main gate is a junior play structure on a boat theme. A larger climbing structure with slides, a twist climber, log roll and tunnels will keep the older children amused.
There are swings, rockers and bead panels as well. Some of the play equipment is decorated with pictures of fish.
Outside the playground itself there is equipment designed specifically for the use of teenagers.
The playground has a view of the beach and ocean, and gets the cooling sea breeze.
There are plenty of benches as well as picnic tables and gas barbecues.
Surfboard-like sculptures are set in the middle of the bike track.
Nearest coffee: Cafes on Pittwater Road, and a quick drive or longer walk along the beach to The Deck Cafe
Toilets: Public toilets, showers and change rooms at the surf-lifesaving club just north of the carpark, entrance on the Pittwater Road side of the building
Shade: Shadecloth provides plenty of shade
Enclosed: Yes
Extra: Lovely beach and safe toddler pool and beach area, see Collaroy Beach post.
Mum’s report: A fantastic playground to be visited again and again. The kids never get bored of it and nor do we. It’s good to have the bike track within the enclosed park area.

Parking: Parking area beside playground, first two hours are free

A great spot for a long family day out.
And good for all seasons of the year!
