An Irish Breakfast- at Harrigans Pub in The Hunter Valley

We do love a buffet breakfast.  And the twins were over the moon to try an Irish breakfast when we stayed at Harrigans Irish Pub in the Hunter Valley.

Me too. Mine is the plate of tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and, yes, mince.   Very Irish.

Plans to eat our way around the world’s best breakfasts are going well so far!

What’s your favourite world breakfast?

Linking up to Wordless Wednesday with My Little Drummer Boys- thanks Trish!

Many thanks to Harrigans who had us as guests, put us up and put up with us too!

  1. YUM!!! That beats the fruit & yogurt I just had.
    Gotta love Irish anything. :)

    • So true.. is there any food or drink created by the Irish that isn’t just what you fancy, on a chilly day especially. Is it too early in the day for a Guiness and oyster pie, anybody??

  2. Yummmmm that looks so GOOD! Love the Irish ;) xx

  3. You’re making me drool here! I so want to go on a holiday!

  4. That looks so good! I’d love to explore the hunter valley one day…. have to remember to stop there :)

  5. Lovely time had by all by the looks of it. Great photos

  6. That looks invitingly delicious ! Don’t know if I have favourite world breakfast. But I think I could get used to the Irish one :) Lovely meeting you on Saturday ! You’re twinnies are little cuties !

  7. Despite my sirname, I’ve never had an Irish breakfast. You’re tempting me, Seana. I’m not too sure what my fave would be! Pancakes. I know, a bit predictable – and possibly American! :)

    • It’s time you had one…. ideally in Ireland!! Scottish brekkies are very similar to irish ones. I used to love square sausage, black pudding and, after Christmas, Christmas pudding fried in butter for breakfast.

      Lovely, but an instant coronary.

Definitely a fruit, smoothie and yoghurt girl now, love rhubarb and prunes etc etc And always love going out for brekkie, no washing up!

  8. Not sure if it’s my favourite but loved it at the time, Scrambled eggs and tomatoes with some sort of spices outside a tent in the desert in Morocco, surrounded by sand and silence.

  9. Thanks for this post, I had not heard of the Hunter Valley gardens until one of your other posts came in my inbox. I am now going after Christmas with lots of family. We will definately be trying out the Irish breakfast! Thanks for this great info.

  10. ~This is a great place to have some good food, I would love to come to this place.
