Holidays for Mums – Noosa, Queensland

I’m never going to bring my children to Noosa.

They can whinge as much as they like but they are just NOT invited.

Sorry kids, I’m sure there are lots of fun things for families to do here. But Noosa is just for me.

I’m here for the second time ever, and am loving it.

Last time was seven years ago. I was six weeks pregnant with the twins and feeling rather queasy. Happy hour cocktails just weren’t going to work.

But they will this time!

I’m here with the same friend as before and we’re staying at the same place on Hastings Street.  Last time, Hester had hurt her knee and was hobbing along on crutches. With me feeling bilious and her hardly able to move we were a real couple of swells. But we still had a grand old time.

Will report on things to do in Noosa – without kids!

Holidays with the family are one thing, but a holiday just with a gal pal and in a glorious foodie location is quite another.

Bloody marvellous, in short!

Do you ever escape without the family?

Where’s your favourite place to escape alone or just with your friends?

PS That’s not me in the photo – but thanks for asking. It’s Noura Tourism’s iPhone app – very handy!
PPS This is not a sponsored post. If only!  Hold on, it is sponsored, by my Intn’l Man of Mystery’s hard work in Kurdistan and by his time off. He’s minding the kids for these precious few days. God bless him!
