We have some lovely friends who live near this park and so have visited it over many years.

The playground has been revamped and much improved recently.

It’s a terrific spot, just make sure you don’t lose wandering children in the bush!  {I did once or twice, but they found their way back.}

O.H. Reid playground Tucked away but well worth hunting out, this a lovely, spacious bushland playground.

The play equipment is very good, there are picnic tables and BBQs, plus a very large sports oval just nearby.  It’s a great venues for get togethers and parties, especially with kids who love to kick a ball.  Even better if their dads like to kick a ball too!

Coffee:  BYO

Shade: Some from trees

Toilets: At the pavilion across the oval, bit of a hike with little kids.

Enclosed:  No

Extra: This playground is very close to Lane Cove National Park, which has lovely picnic areas and a playground too. You don’t need to pay to get in here though!

This huge sports oval is right beside the playground.

 Which is your favourite playground to meet up with a big group of people?

This wonderful park is just down the road from our home and I just wanted to add for visitors to be careful during nesting season for the magpies. The are very vicious and dive bomb children and adults as they walk down to the park (in January I think). My girls weren’t too bothered by this, but for me it brought back terrifying memories of being attacked as a child. That said, it is a really beautiful park and a great place to meet friends for an afternoon BBQ.

Thank you so much for your insider info Katrina, it’s really invaluable for other parents to know this sort of info. How lovely to have this great play space so close to your home.
