Scottish Stories – At Yellowcraig Beach Today

Yellowcraig Beach East Lothian Scotland

Well, it’s a long way from Sydney’s beautiful beaches!  I heard that my hubby and Teen16 and Rusty Rocket were swimming in the sea yesterday at Jervis Bay.

Not us here in Bonnie Scotland in April. The wind is perishing and the sea would be worse.

July and August are the best times to visit Scotland, not least because the Festival and Fringe are on.  If you ever visit the Edinburgh in July or August, check out the tips on this post: Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Well, April it is for us, and went down to a gorgeous beach today though, all rugged up.  It’s called Yellowcraig, a wee drive from my Mum’s house, just here.

Here are some photos from our visit to Yellowcraig and nearby Direlton.  I’ve done no editing except on the one that was instagrammed.  And I’ll say no more as I’m linking up with Trish’s Wordless Wednesday,

Can highly recommend the cauliflower cheese soup and  pecan brownies at the Direlton Gallery Cafe, should you be passing.

It’s goodnight from us here.

You’re just waking up down there in Sydney.

Are you off to the beach today?
